Radio 1 live interview on Twitch, Google and esports

The fine folks from WNL asked me to offer some commentary on the recent rumors concerning Google’s interest in the increasingly popular streaming platform I happen to be in the epicenter of research on e-sports here at the MIT Game Lab. Grad students and colleagues are doing valuable research on both esports and live streaming. For example, this great piece by Abe Stein on the tipping point of esports is definitely worth reading. And of course there’s the work of MIT colleague TL Taylor. Her website is chock full of material on esports and live-streaming, and then there’s her book “Raising the Stakes – E-Sports and the Professionalization of Computer Gaming“.

In the interview we talked about Google, esports and Twitch., het is niet de bekendste website.
