Talk at TU Eindhoven – September 24, 2014

Games like Call of Duty and America’s Army demonstrate how the game industry and (American) military institutions are deeply intertwined on both a technological and economical level.

At TU Eindhoven’s Studium Generale I will discuss issues related to the military-entertainment complex and argue that the military and entertainment industries cooperate to their mutual benefit. The emergence of drones for example puts a radically new perspective on the militarization of game culture. Talk will be in English for all ya’ll non-Dutchies and is meant for a laymen, non-techie (broad) audience.
