Book chapter (Dutch) on games and pedagogy

For an introductory Dutch textbook on pedagogy my esteemed colleague Joke Hermes and I contributed a chapter on games, gamification and social media and how they relate to learning. In the chapter we discuss topics such as moral panics, what gamification is (and very much is not), why games could be powerful teaching tools, but also what to consider when using games in the classroom. The book is part 1 of a 2-part series and covers major themes and discussions.

You can buy the book here and if you are interested in our contribution, I get the sense that you can download the chapter pressing this link.
